Celebrating Reception |
We would love you to choose 3 words to describe your time in Reception class with us e.g. lots of fun, best year ever, happy fun friends
We would like you (or an adult) to write these words on 3 separate pieces of paper. We would love you to decorate them and make them look beautiful. Once you've done this, take a picture with each word and upload on Class Dojo. |

Beach Day |
Even though we missed out on the fun day at school, we thought we could still have a fun beach themed day at home. Below are a list of suggested activities to complete with your child. We can't wait to see all of the lovely work that you complete and hope you have the best beach day ever!

Beach Activity 1: |
For phonics, we thought it would be a nice idea to play buried treasure. See if you can find all of the pirate's treasure by reading the words on the coins.

Beach Activity 2: |
For our first beach activity, we thought it would be lovely to make some handprint fish. You will need paint, paper and your hands for this one. Use your hand and dip it into the paint. Print this onto paper and decorate to create your very own fish. You can even make crabs too! If you don't want to get your hand all painty, we suggest drawing around your hand and decorating it instead. |

Beach Activity 3: |
Can you help me pack for a day at the beach? I've taken everything out of my suitcase and now I'm a little bit confused. I'm not sure which items I am going to need for the beach. Can you help me by writing sentences to tell me which items I will need and which items I will not need. |

Beach Activity 4: |
We're getting creative again. We thought it would be lovely to create some beach themed decorations and what better than our very own bunting. For this you will need paper, pens and string. Can you read the instructions all by yourself and make your very own summer bunting?

Beach Activity 5:
|
Our next activity is to make our own kites and then fly them. Choose one of the videos to follow along with to make your own kite. Then, go into the garden and fly your kite. It would be wonderful if you could film a video/take pictures for Dojo. Remember, sun cream and sun hat if the sun is shining!

Beach Activity 6: |
To finish our lovely beach day, it's time for a picnic! Grab a blanket or towel, your favourite teddy and some snacks and head outdoors in the garden. Lay your blanket out and set up your very own seaside picnic! |
